AUDITIONS: Voice Actors Needed for Narrative Podcast
Seeking talent to cast in an narrative podcast entitled “Retelling”. A table read and cast recording will take place in January 2020 . We will be casting lead roles through this audition and a few other supporting speaking roles.
Actors Needed:
Host (Male): age (50+) Host of radio show
Subjects of HOST’S story:
Daughter: age 20’s Child of MOTHER and FATHER
Father: age (30-40) Farmer, parent to DAUGHTER
Mother: age (30-40) Farmer’s wife, parent to DAUGHTER
Witch: age (30+) Ancient being who lives in the woods
Mystic (Male or Female): age (30+) Ominous presence, foe of WITCH
Various Townspeople (Male & Female)
Project Description
“Retelling ” Synopsis:
Adapted from Grimm’s Fairytales and set in an alternative version of the 1930’s where magic is a part of everyday life, a radio show host holds a weekly story hour sharing his family’s history. His first story is an adaptation of The Seven Ravens where a young girl investigates the disappearance of her older brothers.
Depending on role, time commitment would be 1-2 evenings for table reads, and 1-2 evenings for recording.
